Conflict Resolution Training

40-Hour Basic Mediation Training

This 40-hour Basic Mediation course is designed to acquaint participants with the philosophy, concepts, process model and specific behavioral skills needed for a working role as a beginning mediator. Master a collaborative, interest-based mediation model that will assist parties in conflict to find mutually agreeable solutions.

This is the foundation course for all DRC volunteer mediators. This class is also applicable for legal, mental health, and other professionals to satisfy the Standards for Collaborative Practice by the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. CLE and ethics credits available.

Tuition

  • Early Bird – $600 through 4/1/08 for Spring session
  • Early Bird – $600 through 9/1/08 for Fall session
  • Regular Tuition – $650

2008 Schedule

Each class runs two consecutive weeks: Thursdays, 5 pm to 9 pm and both Friday and Saturday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Advanced Family Mediation Training

Learn advanced mediation skills in dealing with complex issues that occur in divorce and family concerns. Gain knowledge in identifying domestic violence characteristics, relational patterns, and other family dynamics to help clients move to resolution. Accreditation available.
